Dev.D is an upcoming Indian Hindi language romantic drama film due for release on February 6, 2009. Written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film is a modern day take on Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's classic novel Devdas.
Anurag Kashyap did not want to do another remake of any the 9 previous films versions titled Devdas. His version was created as a modern take on the 1917 original classic novel by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Kashyap decided he wanted to make his own version of Devdas to reflect the original novel but through 2008 mores, with the lead character of Devdas as a debauching, hypocritical sensualist, who is self destructive without knowing he is destroying himself. Talking about the story and his role as Dev, Abhay Deol told Radio Sargam, "The story is very much from the book which I've read in English. I have played the character according to my interpretation of the book. His character was contemporary, he was quite urban in many ways, he's misplaced in the surrounding and has a spoilt, obsessive and addictive personality.

Billu Barber is an upcoming Bollywood film by Priyadarshan, produced by Gauri Khan and the adapted screenplay is by Manisha Korde and Mushtaq Sheikh based on the script by Sreenivasan. The film stars Irrfan Khan and Lara Dutta in the lead roles, and Shahrukh Khan in a cameo role of a movie star. The film also features Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani in supporting roles with guest appearances by actresses Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra. The film is a remake of the hugely successful Malayalam Indian film Kadha Parayumbol.
The film is scheduled to release on February 13, 2009
Plot
The story is set in today's day and age. Billu (Irrfan Khan) is a village barber. His business is running low because he has not been able to change himself according to the changing trends. One fine day, a film unit visits his village to shoot a movie. It stars a superstar, Sahir Khan (Shahrukh Khan), who Billu claims to have been friends with. All at once, Billu's status in the village changes, and he becomes highly respected. Everyone wants to meet the superstar through Billu. But Billu is unsure, as he feels he cannot compare to the superstar's status. Besides, he fears that the star may not recognize him. He makes many attempts to meet the star but fails. After all these hardships, he gives up. The villagers believe he lied about the relationship with the star and insult him. His family and children also get upset and badmouth him. In a twist towards the end, the true extent of the friendship between Billu and the superstar is revealed.

Slumdog Millionaire is a 2008 British drama film directed by Danny Boyle, co-directed by Loveleen Tandan, and written by Simon Beaufoy. It is an adaptation of the Boeke Prize winning and Commonwealth Writers' Prize nominated novel Q and A by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup. Tandan, who began as the film's casting director (India), was later appointed the co-director by Boyle because of her significant contributions to the film's production.
Set and filmed in India, Slumdog Millionaire tells the story of a young uneducated man from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Kaun Banega Crorepati, mentioned in the Hindi version) and exceeds people's expectations, arousing the suspicions of the game show host and of law enforcement officials.
After screenings at the Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, Slumdog Millionaire initially had a limited North American release on 12 November 2008 to critical acclaim and awards success, and later had a nationwide release in the United States on 26 December 2008 and in the United Kingdom on 9 January 2009. It premiered in Mumbai on 22 January 2009.
Slumdog Millionaire won five of the six awards it was nominated for at the Critics' Choice Awards and all four of the awards it was nominated for at the Golden Globes, including Best Drama Film. It has also been nominated for eleven BAFTA Awards and ten Academy Awards.

Victory is a 2009 Indian cricket-based sports film starring Harman Baweja, Anupam Kher and Amrita Rao. It is Harman Baweja's second release after his debut film Love Story 2050, which performed very badly at the Box Office. The movie was filmed in Australia and India, and is said to be one of Bollywood's most expensive movies to date. Victory tells the story of a struggling cricketer who defies all odds to realize an almost impossible dream.

Plot:

The story revolves around the life of Vijay Shekhawat (Harman Baweja) and his father Ram Shekhawat (Anupam Kher). Ram has great aspirations for his son Vijay, who he dreams will play for the Indian cricket team one day. His dream eventually comes true when Vijay makes it to the Indian team. However, this happiness is short-lived as Vijay soon loses his place in the team, as well as the respect he has earned, when he lets his new-found fame get the better of him.
Vijay soon discovers how quickly the media and the public can make a villian out of a hero. Unable to bear the shock and humiliation, Ram suffers a stroke. The rest of the film is about how Vijay redeems himself in the eyes of his family and his fans by regaining his lost spot in the Indian team, and then leading it to a splendid victory in a major international cricket tournament.

Luck By Chance is a 2009 bollywood film, directed by debutante Zoya Akhtar. The film stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Farhan Akhtar in lead roles with Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Juhi Chawla, Hrithik Roshan, Isha Sharvani and Sanjay Kapoor in supporting roles. In this movie, for the first time, Indian film icons, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan have made a special appearance, despite them having not shared the same frame. The movie, which is supposedly a dig at Bollywood film industry, was released on January 30, 2009. The film is about the journey of an actor named Vikram Jaisingh (Farhan Akhtar) who arrives in Bombay to make it big as a film star with the help of Abhimanyu (Arjun Mathur) a TV star friend, who puts him up during the initial struggle. Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia are seen in prominent roles and Rishi plays a Punjabi producer Romy Rolly. Konkona Sen Sharma appears in the role of a junior artist named Sona Mishra, with Hrithik Roshan playing the role of a superstar.

Delhi-6 is a forthcoming Hindi film (Bollywood) film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra starring Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, and Divya Dutta. The movie is reportedly based on Mehra's growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. The film will be Mehra's third directorial venture after critically acclaimed Aks and the immensely successful Rang De Basanti.

PLOT: American-born Indian, Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) brings his ailing grandmother back to India. Little does he know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life - a journey within. Yuvvraaj was released on 21 November, and it is liked a lot since most of the searches on this site these is is Yuvvraaj. It is produced and directed by Subhash Ghai and stars Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan, Boman Irani and Mithun Chakraborty. It's about relationship between the three brothers and the issue of inheritence after their father dies. I watched the movie myself, however I didn't like it much. I guess I was expecting too much beforehand. After it is a Subhash Ghai film and stars all big actors. Music of Yuvraj is composed by A.R. Rehman. I hope you like the songs. Cheers.

Ghajini is the latest film from Aamir Khan to be released on Christmas this year. It's directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The other major cast of Ghajini includes Asin Thottumkal and Jia Khan. The film is about a rich mobile phone company owner, Prashanth Pawar(Amir Khan), who loses his memory after being hit on the head in a fight. I don't wanna give out any spoilers here, so if you wanna know more about the storyline, checkout Wikipedia.Music of Ghajini is directed by the one and only A. R. Rehman. Absolutely great music. I was kinda disappointed with Yuvraa's music, but this one is great. I specially Behka and Ghajini and Kaise Mujhe and .... actually I love all of 'em. But the best has to be Kaise Mujhe, I'm listening to it right now and it's intoxicating!By the way these songs are in MP3 format, they're a lot bigger than .rm files.

Fashion is, as the title suggests, a film about the dark secrets what goes on in the fashion industry. The film follows the lives of Meghna Mathur (Priyanka Chopra), a girl from a small town who aspires to become a supermodel in Mumbai, and Shonali Gujral (Kangana Ranaut), a former successful supermodel who is facing downfall. These characters are based on real life supermodels. The film is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar and also stars real life model Mugdha Godse who was a semi-finalist at the Miss India 2004, Arbaaz Khan and Samir Soni.The music of Fashion is composed by the Merchant brothers, Salim and Sulaiman. The songs seems to be pretty well liked as so many of you have already asked me for them. I personally only like Fashion Ka Jalwa, I might like the rest after a viewing of the movie. There are also guest appearances by Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra.Music of RNBDJ is composed by the Salim and Sulaiman Merchant. 1. Warner Bros. The trailers looks beautiful, check it out. This is something all big budget Bollywood action films should strive for. I'm putting this in the 2009 category because the movie will be released on January 16, 2009. Don't forget to watch it, it's going to be great.Music of Chandni Chowk is composed by a multitude of music directors: the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Kailash Kher and Bappi Lahiri. The music for Raaz - The Mystery Continues (a.k.a Raaz 2) is released, here are the songs some of you have been wanting so much :D. As they keep claiming, The Mystery Continues is not a sequel to the 2002 film Raaz. It follows a completely different storyline. It is directed by Mohit Suri and stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman in lead roles. I don't think I need to say this, right?.... that it's a horror movie?Music of the movie is directed by new comers Raju Singh, Pranay M Rijia, Toshi Sabri and Gaurav Das who replaced Pritam, who replaced Neem-Sharavan. I haven't given the songs a listen yet, so I don't have anything to say except, ENJOY!
